each part. To avoid any misunderstanding, please refer to these names
and numbers when discussing the Orb assembly with your consultant.

Cleaning your Q2 ENERGYspa & Orb
When cleaning your Orb, four (4) factors need to be
considered:
Presentation – A clean Orb presents a
good look in professional practice or clinic.
Energy transfer – Remove all
energetic properties of the previous person in session, before
embarking on a new session with a different individual.
Life of Orb - The longer you soak
your Orb in any solution, the shorter the life of the components of
the Orb. So soak at a minimum.
To keep your Q ENERGYspa® Orb clean, there are a few
different methods that may be employed depending on your situation:
In the Clinic
Following a session in a clinic or practice setting,
it is recommended that you:

Rinse your Orb in clean warm
water.

Place your Orb in a cleaning
solution for a few seconds (this will ensure removal of any
deposit of sediment or mineral and energetic properties). It is
strongly advised that you wear protective gloves when cleaning
the Orb using the recommended cleaning solutions.

Rinse Orb vigorously in a
container of warm water, to wash off the residual cleaning
solution and place under fresh running warm water for 30 seconds
(your Orb is ready for the next session).

At the end of the day, you may
like to pull the Orb apart and leave it in solution 5 – 15
minutes. This is a good time to inspect all the components and
replace the Rings & Tracks if needed. If the Orb shell and
Centre Module are still dirty after the 15 minutes of soaking in
solution; these parts can be soaked for longer.
Note: The field created during session slowly alters
the components. Over time the plastic becomes increasingly more
brittle. Pulling the Orb apart regularly, ensures that the
components don’t adhere, making it difficult to pull apart.
Currently we recommend the use of CLR (Calcium, Lime
and Rust Remover) as a cleaning solution: It should be mixed one
part cleaning solution to one part water.
This mix can be stored in a re-sealable container and
used many times before needing to be replaced.
WARNING: Be aware that the above mentioned cleaning
solution may damage cupboard, floor and bench top surfaces, in their
undiluted and diluted states. Hence, it is always a good idea to
clean up spills as soon as they occur. Q Tech Laboratories / Q The

occur by the use of these solvents.
A Natural Cleaning Solution
Prepare your natural cleaning solution by
adding 2 tbs. of salt to 1 litre of lemon juice.
Place your
Orb in cleaning solution for 5 minutes between sessions (this
will ensure removal of any deposit of sediment or mineral and
energetic properties).
Rinse Orb
vigorously in a container of warm water, to wash off the
residual cleaning solution and place under fresh running warm
water for 30 seconds (your Orb is ready for the next session).
At the end of the day, you may like to pull the Orb
apart and leave it in solution 10 – 15 minutes. This is a good time
to inspect all the components and replace the Rings & Tracks if
needed. If the Orb shell and Centre Module are still dirty after the
15 minutes of soaking in solution; these parts can be soaked for
longer.
In your home
For home users, the cleaning of the Orb may be
carried out as described above. However, to lengthen the life of the
Orb components, it is advisable to clean your Orb at a minimum, e.g.
every time you replace your positive rings and track set. This will
ensure that you do not get an excessive build up of mineral and
other deposits that may interfere with the proper function of your Q
ENERGYspa®.
If however, more than one person is using the Orb, it
is recommended that a solution is used between the different users
to ensure that no energetic component from the previous person
interferes with the session of the next person.
Maintenance:
Ring and Track sets
replacement.
Water conditions play a large role in the erosion of the positive ring and
track. For this reason it is very difficult to put a time frame on when to
replace. The easiest way to determine when to change the positive ring and
track is to take a close inspection.
Place your finger on the positive
ring and track, if it bends, replace it as the metal has deteriorated.
When replacing the rings or taking
the Orb apart please read the manual carefully & check the Orb quick
reference guide.
PLEASE NOTE:
When reassembling the Orb Always ensure the top positive ring is
sitting on and touching the Positive track . The cable connector hood is fitted flush
with the orb.
Transportation of the ENERGYspa.
Please take care of the Energy
Spa. Whenever the need arises to ship the system either use the original
packaging. Sharp objects including other cardboard boxes can easily damage
the Styrofoam box. QTE is not responsible for any damage that
occurs through owner negligence.
Protect the front of the Energy
Spa from knocks and scratches. The Attenuator switch on the model 2100,
3024, 3100 and 2500 is prone to damage from strong impacts. Place bubble
wrap or foam over the switch whilst in the carry bag.
A Word on Conductivity, Salt and your
Q2 ENERGYspa
To
test the conductivity of your water if your
unit indicates insufficient conductivity.
The maximum
amount of salt or Potassium Citrate you will need to add is one heaped
teaspoon to 200 milliliters or in US measurements 1/3 of a pint of hot
water and add that to 9 liters or 2 gallons of water. This will raise the
conductivity more than enough for the Q2 Energy Spa to work.
Should your
ENERGYspa still indicate that there is insufficient conductivity to
operate it is not conductivity but most likely poor connections in the Orb
cable connector, (mohawk) that are the problem.
Adding anymore than this amount will only DAMAGE the contacts in
the Orb cable connector and will degrade your positive ring and track sets
far more quickly than normal.
